Providing Quality,
Affordable Child Care

Our Mission

Our Center philosophy is “The Child Comes First”. Rochester Child Care Center(RCCC) is a play focused, nature-based community. Teachers are inspired to be enthusiastic learners who teach children by example as they share their love of discovery. Teachers and families work together to build a safe haven for all who enter our agency. This supports families, and community in building partnerships that benefit all children and their families.

    Engagement

Every child is an engaged learner who explores the world with body, mind, and sense. We provide environments and experiences to engage children with active, creative, and meaningful exploration through play.

Why Children in Nature?

The majority of our day is spent in our nature-based themes or our beautiful outdoor kitchen areas. We believe that children deserve regular access to the natural, outdoor space. Children will have the opportunity to notice changes over time, develop a relationship with the space, and get to know it intimately. We believe that being outdoors in beautiful, natural environments is an essential experience for all children. Research highlights how nature reduces stress, increases attention, and fosters healthy brain development. Children have opportunities to interact daily with materials found in nature and in the process becoming thoughtful stewards of the earth. What we love, we protect.

Expectations of All Involved

It is expected in the agency that all conduct themselves in an ethical and responsible manner that reflects well upon the agency, that promotes a spirit of cooperation among all people involved. It is expected that you will be a proper role model for children and each other in your attitude, speech, social interactions, and manners.

“At their previous daycare, my children refused to talk about school. Tantrums on our way down. They love it here. Now, they enjoy coming to school and they talk about their teachers and other kids. Especially in my daughter, I see a huge difference in her social skills."
